It's Time to Flow Again by Jeremy Lopez

By Jeremy Lopez
"Movement." Just the word itself conjures images of crowded, busy streets, people walking, leaves falling from trees and rivers and streams flowing. Movement is tied to life, and where there is movement, there is the reminder that life still exists. But what about all those moments in life where we find ourselves feeling trapped, paralyzed and stagnant because of trauma and unexpected pain? How do we learn to move again, even when we feel so stuck? How do we start to live again when it might feel there's nothing else to live for? This is the theme of my newest, international release, You Are a River. This book, I feel, is truly a clarion call to all those who may feel stuck and stagnant in life. You Are a River: Now Flow! is now available worldwide wherever books are sold.

Movement is a Sign of Life

Do you realize that life is always moving forward? Think about it. From the changing of seasons to the sun rising and setting, if we look around us, we can see that all of Creation is filled with life and with constant movement. Creation is busy moving forward! In the Beginning the Creator spoke the worlds into existence, and that Word is still alive and active. Movement is a sign of life. In my newest book, I share a powerful revelation I received about the importance of movement. Life is moving forward, but if you’re going to lay claim to the abundant life you’ve been promised, that means you’re going to have to keep moving with it!

You Have to Keep Moving!

Time and again I hear testimonies from believers just like you who feel that life is passing them by. Chances are, you’ve been there as well and are maybe even there now. Maybe it was the unexpected financial setback after the loss of a job or the ending of a marriage. Maybe it was the passing of a loved one after they received a diagnosis. Whatever the case, though, all of us have had moments that stopped us in our tracks and made us not want to take even one more step. Movement is a principle in the Kingdom of Heaven and in life, and if you’re going to possess the Land of Promise, you’re going to have to keep moving, no matter what!

Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’ (John 7:38 NLT)

Turning Points are not Stop Signs

Did you know that that there’s a power within you that’s always moving? That it’s always flowing. It’s true! You see, there’s a reason you keep having those dreams and God-given visions, even when things seem to be so stagnant. The reason is because there’s something within you reminding you to keep moving. In my newest book, You Are a River: Now Flow! I share something that I feel is so often overlooked within life: “Turning points were never meant to be stop signs!” Read that again! My friend, how long have you prayed over and over again, hoping and wishing and wanting the situation to change? And how many confirmations have you received to remind you that change is up to you?

There’s a time to pray. There’s a time to seek. There’s a time to yield to discernment and exercise caution. But there’s never a time to stop moving. There’s never a time to become paralyzed. Even those who wait on the LORD are called to take bold steps of faith!

Chances are, right now, you may find yourself feeling stuck believing that life is passing you by. Well, if so, it’s time to start moving again. It’s time to flow! In my newest book, You Are a River: Now Flow! I describe the importance of never mistaking caution and discernment for a need to stop. For far too long, believers have succumbed to a fear-based mindset rather than to the power of faith and rather than enjoying the scenery along the way have decided to remain parked, instead.

Your Dreams Require Movement

Those dreams you keep having aren’t going to bring themselves to pass, contrary to popular belief and despite what religion claims. A vision without movement is just a fantasy, and a dream without action is still just a dream. In order to move forward into the life that you’ve been destined to live, you’re going to have to understand the principle of movement. In this season of your life, it’s time to finally, once and for all, put movement to the dreams you’ve been entrusted with! Change can begin today!

If it feels that life is passing you by, the reason is because somewhere along the way you parked on the side of the road and set up camp. And somewhere along the way mistook a rest area for a campground. It’s all too common, really, and I see it time and time again. So often even the sincerest men and women of faith mistake seasons of rest for nothing more than the end of the line. Well, my friend, it’s time to remember that you’re not at the end – not yet! There’s still a lot of life left to be lived and still a lot of scenery left to enjoy!

In You Are a River: Now Flow! I encourage believers to remember just how important it is to flow along with life. If it feels that life is working against you, it’s a reminder that you aren’t moving. Life is moving forward, and it’s time for you to move forward with it. Have there been painful moments along the way? Absolutely. Have there been moments that stopped you in your tracks? Yes. However, movement is a decision that you can make today. But what does this movement really look like in practicality? It looks a lot like deciding to step out on faith. It looks a lot like saying, “I’m ready to live my life again!”

What have you been doing since the job loss? What have you been doing since the marriage ended or since the financial setback happened? What have you done since the passing of your loved one to help yourself enjoy your own life once again? You see, as simple as it may seem, you’ve been called and designed to keep moving. If the scenery around you never changes, it’s not a sign of faithfulness; it’s just a sign that you aren’t going anywhere!
