Touch not God's Anointed by Elaine Tavolacci

By Elaine Tavolacci
We read many times throughout the bible that the Lord's people were oppressed, controlled or manipulated by the enemy. Their adversaries continually pursued them and tried to destroy their character and their anointing. In some instances, they even wanted to kill them. History is repeating itself as there are people who want to silence believers' voices and shut down their ministries. There are spirits of jealousy, envy and hatred that are rampant throughout our land.

We read many times throughout the bible that the Lord’s people were oppressed, controlled or manipulated by the enemy. Their adversaries continually pursued them and tried to destroy their character and their anointing. In some instances, they even wanted to kill them. History is repeating itself as there are people who want to silence believers’ voices and shut down their ministries. There are spirits of jealousy, envy and hatred that are rampant throughout our land.

In the book of Genesis, we see Joseph’s father who favored him and gave him a coat of many colors. This was a metaphor of the Lord placing His favor as well as a prophetic mantle upon his life. His brothers hated him because he was highly favored, and when he shared his dreams with them, they hated him all the more. They threw him into a ditch, took his coat of my many colors, put the blood of goats on it, and took it to the father so that the father would think that ferocious animals devoured and killed him.

They then sold him as a slave to the Midianites. During his time in Egypt, Potiphar's wife accused him of molesting her and she took his robe to try to prove this. This was the second time a garment was taken from Joseph. Potiphar knew in his heart that Joseph would not do such a thing, but he put him in prison to honor his wife. While in prison the Lord used Joseph to interpret the dreams of those in the prison as well as Pharoah’s dreams.

Some of you have also been despised or falsely accused and the enemy is trying to make you retaliate against those who have wronged you. If you stay faithful to the Lord, you will receive honor and favor with God and man just as Joseph did. The Lord will bring justice to those who tried to harm you. Joseph was eventually made the Vizier which is the highest official in Ancient Egypt to serve the king. Pharaoh gave him authority over everything and gave him the name Zaphnath-Paaneah, which means "Revealer of mysteries." If you’ve been persecuted as Joseph was, trust Jesus to bring justice to the situation.

In the book of Daniel Chapter 3, Daniel’s friends Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego refused to bow down to King Nebuchadnezzar's image of gold. He commanded that they be thrown into the fiery furnace and ordered the guards to turn the furnace up seven times hotter. As they were in the fire, a fourth man was seen with them whom the guards said looked like the son of God. The fire was so hot that it actually killed the men who threw them in, but miraculously it didn't harm Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. The Lord says, trust me when you are in the fiery furnace, because I am in there with you.

The Lord says; Don't bend or bow when the Nebechenezars try to dominate and control you. Refuse to submit to anything that is contrary to My word. I Am the God who liberates and sets you free from all chaos in your life. You will be vindicated from anything that was falsely spoken against you. Be careful not to criticize or belittle ministries who you don’t understand.

A Broken Mirror

Last night I had a dream that I had a huge broken mirror. There were two people along side of me and I asked them if they knew who broke the mirror. I knew that it was them who did it, but they wouldn’t admit it. In the morning when I looked up the interpretation in a dream dictionary, I found that the mirror represented an image and reflection of ourselves. I knew that the interpretation was that those two people had fractured souls (emotions), and they were trying to destroy my image.

In the book of John, we read about Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead. In the very next chapter, we see that the religious people wanted to kill him again. Be careful who you allow in your inner circle. There are people who are jealous and envious of you and want to see you destroyed. They have become lukewarm and are listening to the whispers of the evil one. The enemy wants to kill you and he will use people to destroy the anointing on your life. He will do anything to keep you from prospering and growing spiritually. Be careful not to criticize the prophets or belittle ministers because you don’t understand them. Touch not Gods anointed and do His prophets no harm says the Lord.

1 Chronicles 16:22 “Do not touch My anointed ones and do My prophets no harm.”

Psalm 89:14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne, mercy and truth go before Your face.

Luke 6:28 Bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you.

Romans 12:19 (TPT) Beloved, don’t be obsessed with taking revenge, but leave that to God’s righteous justice. For the Scriptures say: “Vengeance is mine, and I will repay,” says the Lord.
