Some people want to be loved by others. They feel they need the love of their father, mother, friends, spouse, girlfriend/boyfriend, their children, strangers, and even God. They go looking for love in all kinds of places from all kinds of people. But the truth is, the person who matters most to love you is you. You need your love more than anyone else's. As the saying goes, how can you love others unless you love yourself.

That is kind of true although it is possible to love others and not love yourself. But you need your self-love above everything else in order to be a whole person and really function well in this world. Of course, we need God's love, but the truth is that if you don't love yourself, it is hard to receive and accept love from others even God. If you don't love yourself, you feel unworthy of love, unlovable and even if people really love you, you may never experience the feeling of being truly loved. You may become paranoid that people don't love you and are against you. You may reject people's warm feelings for you.
Some think that is a bad thing to love yourself and that loving yourself and being selfish go hand in hand, but that is not the case. You can be selfless and still love yourself. Many selfish people don't love themselves. It is often because they don't love themselves that they are selfish. But I am not going to focus on selfishness. The focus should be on you approving of you. You need to be your greatest fan and lover. Loving yourself is at the core of everything that is good in this world and then some. When we love ourselves, everything becomes clear and makes sense, we can live at peace and feel loved. So how do you love yourself? The way I have learned it is you have to ask yourself. Would I want to be friends with a person like me? Once you can say yes to that, you have come to a place where you can love yourself. If you can't say yes, you can always become the type of person you would like to see in others. Once you love yourself you can go about loving everything else and being wholly loved.
Love you and be blessed.

Throughout the ages, there have been some mighty moves of God and revivals. These great moves of God have brought people into the kingdom, influenced our society, and changed the church as we know it. These moves have become part of our history. But a lot of people don't believe they are history. Many people are longing for God to move again. Many prophetic voices have foretold a great move of God yet to come. Hearts are hungry and people are crying out for God to move, they are calling for revival. And with the state our culture is in God knows we desperately need it.

I have been a Christian for many years now. And over the years God has done some amazing things. But there was one thing that was hard to miss and that was the things that were wrong with the church. It has caused me much pain and even had caused me to leave Christianity at one point. It actually wasn't the only factor in my decision to do so but it certainly was a big contributor. The thing is though what I have found is that I saw some of the same issues with secular organizations that I joined and with non-Christians. A theme seemed to be there, and all the same problems arose.

I once saw someone who I haven't seen in years and upon seeing them I asked them how they were doing? They replied that they are living the dream. Nowadays to say living the dream may mean the opposite while to others it is a reality. To many people living the dream seems impossible though. And can you blame them? Their lives didn't go as planned and things are not going their way. But the fact remains that deep down in each of us lies dreams. Dreams to achieve incredible things. Dreams to be more than what others say we are. People love to put limits on others and we even put limits on ourselves so many people never see the dream come true.
