Sometimes we love to just go out on what we call a "Treasure Hunt." This is where we find new paths to walk we have never been on before. We love to walk and pray and some of our best times together have been spent in Gods awesome nature!!!!

We had an appointment to go to and looking on the map found that it was surrounded by walking paths through the forest, a lake and other smaller areas of water! When we arrived we could not believe our eyes! This place was literally 15 minutes from where we live and we have not ever been told about it or heard it talked about before! We came down to the water and parked our car, got out and took in all of the breath taking beauty! Our appointment lasted for 30 minutes so this gave us plenty of time to check out this new "treasure" afterwards. We were told by the person that we met that it was an incredible area and we could walk from his house and around the lake in about 20 to 30 minutes...So here we are at the water...and of course we HAD to check it out.

Following the Path Markers

So we begin around the lake. It's a bit of a narrow path in some areas, a few ups and downs, but just what we love! We come to the first set of sign posts on the path that give names of and point to the different waters and a path that leads to a nearby mountain or to follow around the lake we were at. We were kind of spur of the moment, so we decided to keep to the path around the lake. So off we went following the blue path markers along the way, and soon it gets a little more dense and a little more steep...no problem, but now we're talking workout!! So up we went and leveled out and up we went again, and I'm thinking…What have we gotten ourselves into??? Then we come to a climb that is all tree root! There is only mud and tree root to cling to. I used to be terrified of climbing anything steep and would literally get from point A to point B on my rear! My husband made sure my first climb in Norway was one of their highest mountains!! I think he was trying to break me in quick and well maybe he forgot that I didn't play on mountains growing up...I'm from Texas. So on that first trip I clung to the side with my toes and finger nails dug into the rocks like a cat!!! I've only had a couple climbs like that and they were both a HUGE overcoming for me to finish, complete with fear, trembling and a few tears!!!

2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

So here we are at these tree roots on this somewhat steep climb, which is just above a steep area we have just come from down below and so Tage says, "Do you want me to go before you and help you up?" and I said, "no, I've got this." I really wanted to press through without falling into fear. So I dug my feet in between each of those roots and pulled myself up! Once at the top I was breathless. We had already been walking and climbing for well over the 20 minutes the man had mentioned before, so I laughed and said we must really be out of shape or that man is really fast!!!

At this point we kind of leveled off and I thought ok...I managed...then I saw it...The next blue marker and it was on a tree at what looked like a total drop off! There went my knees!!!

I moved forward slowly to try and peak over what I was facing. Slowly I looked over and thought oh Dear Lord Jesus!!! I was going down this on my rear for sure!!!

Tage asked again if he could help, and all that I could do was keep moving forward and  again said, "no, I've got this" and so slowly but surely I cautiously made my way down to the bottom and eventually we made it back to our car and I was so glad to see it!!! We later learned that there was an easier path around the mountain but there were so many signs along the way, so I knew God had a purpose in our being there.

1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Tage and I have been in a huge season of transition! Probably one of the most challenging times in our whole journey!!! It seems we used to just deal with certain trials here and there learning to overcome each time, growing with God through them. They were very hard challenges while we were in them. Now....It's like we are dealing with EVERYTHING all at once, from every direction!! It is literally like a culmination of everything we have experienced and walked out before at every turn. Here we are on this journey with the Lord, we have gone through a lot of sanctification, purification, living supernaturally, faith expanding trials, you name it and we moved where God has led us at least 20 times!!! In Faith! Now those trials before look like a cake walk!!!

So here I am praying about our circumstances and I begin to see the walk we took that day and God began speaking about it in relationship to where we are.

I`ve Got This!

He showed me that there I was on a path that at one time I would have wanted to turn and go back, I would have cried "I can't do this," and determined to quit, allowing myself to be terrorized by fear and uncertainty the whole way! But I pressed through. Then I saw those tree roots while praying and I heard the Lord say, "I am exposing the deep root causes and laying them open bare and you will overcome and they will be under your feet!" Then I bravely finished the climb back to the bottom. I overcame the mountain!! I believe God is saying this to all of us! He has prepared us to overcome our mountains. If we will just determine to put one foot in front of the other and say "I've got this," that He is right there with us as we are moving in faith, trusting in Him and it is the easier way. A place where we can actually rest in Him if we will choose to.

Psalm 91:9-13 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.

Zechariah 4:7 "Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone With shouts of 'Grace, grace to it!'"

Hebrews 4:14-16 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.  For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

The Mountain

It seems that everything has suddenly come against us all at one time and it truly has become a mountain for us. Same as we thought we were merely going on a little stroll around the lake we found ourselves suddenly encountering a mountain - so have we in the spirit.

I had a dream a few weeks ago where I was walking on a path that was lined on either side with demons attacking me. I had a weapon and I was turning and breathlessly battling my way through there, but suddenly the dream shifted and I was walking the same path looking straight ahead. I never looked to either side and as I passed by the enemy's heads were literally falling off.

There are many who have been in a time of preparation - a time of being rooted out of where you have been, a time of going through purification and learning to move in new ways, some are still "waiting" for the right doors to be opened.

I believe God is saying we don't have to strive. He has prepared us for this! In these times we must keep our focus, we must stand firm and cling to what He has taught us and we must trust Him. He is saying don't waiver, don't look down, don't turn back, don't fight!  YOU'VE GOT THIS! Move with it...move with Me!!!

Now more than ever we must keep our focus on Jesus and not on the mountain! Notice all of the beauty of who He is and where you are rather than focusing on what seems to be a hardship.

Philippians 3:14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Through the storms!

When the disciples were out on the open sea in the storm, they were there because they were crossing over to another place. Then as many of us find ourselves on our own journeys, they were in a stormy trial. They panicked and awoke Jesus and cried out for Him to save them. Jesus brought peace in the storm but then they were left out in the open sea. Sometimes it's our storms that get us to where we are going.  They help us to cross over.

We know that in a hurricane storm everything is swirling around and being blown about by powerful winds, but in the center, the eye of the storm is still and calm. When we are in storms if we will stay centered and focused on Jesus and trusting Him then I believe we can rest in Him during transitions and trials as He moves us according to His plan.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Psalm 90:1-2 Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations.  Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.

Psalm 90:17 And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us, And establish the work of our hands for us; Yes, establish the work of our hands.

May you find the grace, beauty and Peace of the Lord on your path!
