You Must Prophesy Your Breakthrough!

"Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD." (Ezekiel 37:4 KJV).

 

When we read a Bible story like this one found in Ezekiel we often tend to view it as something that happened in ancient days and should encourage us for today, but that is about the extent of it. Today, dear believer in Christ, you have every right to do just as Prophet Ezekiel did when God instructed him to decree or to verbally prophesy life into a valley of dry bones.

 

When Ezekiel was asked by God if he thought it was possible, Ezekiel did not hesitate to say, "O Lord GOD, thou knowest." Ezekiel 37:3.

 

Friends of God, rest assured you must know your authority in God! If you are reading the Word of God and meditating upon it day and night and spending quality personal prayer and worship time before the almighty Jehovah God, you will be assured of what you know! You will then be able to say, even in the face of satan's tactics, "I know you have given me more than enough through the blood of Jesus to defeat this roaring accuser of the brethren!"

 

Understand, Ezekiel knew that God had already accomplished this task set before him in the literal creation of man. So Ezekiel knew it was nothing difficult for God. I can just see Ezekiel thinking in his mind, "well, if my Jehovah God formed me from the dust of the earth and all humans as well, then what's a resurrection decree for Him?" Now you are thinking on the right track saints. Now let's move on to the next step. Please review Ezekiel 37 and go with me in this revelation to verse 5.

 

Ezekiel 37:5 "This is what the Sovereign LORD says: 'Look! I am going to breathe into you and make you live again! v6) I will put flesh and muscles on you and cover you with skin. I will put breath into you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.' " (NLT).

 

God just assured Ezekiel that He was going to do the work, yet all that was required was obedience of faith to verbally speak and decree this Word of God into that hopeless condition which loomed in the valley he had just been surveying.

 

You must come to a place in your life that your friends, parents, Bible teacher, and pastor do not do the work for you-it must be you. Yes, you and I have a mandate from God to actually speak the Word into our seemingly hopeless situations right in front of us and say it with God-given authority of who you are in Him.

 

You will hear every form of satanic lie to stop you up to the moment you open your mouth and obey the voice of God to proclaim His word on it! Do not agree with the accuser!

 

Yes, the Word of God will not return void, but will go out even at the second you incorporate the power of His Gospel to the crises and it will work miracles immediately! (Read Isaiah 55:11). Nothing is impossible with God! (Luke 18:27 KJV).

 

Yet we see that Ezekiel obeyed God and verbally decreed the life of God into those dry bones. They began to come together and soon he kept decreeing again until he had bodies all around him. Children of God, do you see that he was obedient in the middle of a dead situation that seemed full of hopelessness and despair? God came through for him and the first visible signs of life began to take shape in front of him.

 

I want you to realize this is what the devil hates us to do. You are now seeing an example of what you can and will do in your worst hour of what seems to be defeat, although you know that you are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus!

 

When you obey, and decree, you have become the anointed Breath of God to overcome that circumstance and decree God's words over it.

 

Keep on Decreeing, Keep on Believing, and do not Stop!

 

Many, however, will get tempted to stop right here! Yes, just because of the immediate apparent look that the problem has shaped up we can be tricked by the voice of the enemy to back off and take a rest in the battle. NO! This is just the time to really take the most valuable step of decreeing the Word of God into that dead body. It must come to life. That happens when you stand and above all stand on the Word of the Lord!

 

Think about God our creator if He had just made the first man in His image and just carried him around and looked at him. Suppose He just placed him on a shelf as we often do and looked at him every once-in-a-while! No, God did not stop until He was finished breathing the breath life of the sovereign God into man's body. Once that happened, it was irrevocably established as God's eternal living life.

 

You see once God formed us it was for eternity. You may not believe in Christ and feel you have the humanistic approach to do as you wish, but I will assure you now, you will one day either die, or get translated into the presence of Almighty God and then you will give an account for all you have or have not done. Then you will spend that eternally created life either in heaven or hell. (Hebrews 9:27).

 

With that knowledge, I encourage you to finish the race victorious in Jesus' name. Jesus is always seeking and knocking on hearts doors to open it up and receive Him. He is actually always prophesying you will come to the Father! As you receive Jesus, He will complete the good work He has begun in you! "Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:" (Philippians 1:6 KJV).

 

So, Ezekiel is listening to God and obeying what He told him to do and yet he saw no life. This is just about the hardest time for most of us.

 

The Darkest Hour is Just before Dawn!

 

It is just before the dawn that the darkest hour tries to defeat us in the battle of our mind. The flesh says, "Oh, give up you have seen some change but not the completion and it is just not working."  This is exactly the time to apply the Word in life by casting down any evil imaginations or anything that exalts itself above God's plan and destiny for your life.

 

Believe God's Word over your life and surroundings knowing that He declared already that He knows the plans He has for you. God said in Jeremiah 29:11 that they are good and not evil and have an expected   hope for your end! "For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. ' They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." (NLT).  

 

However, if you take that final step of faith through obedience and boldly decree the breath of life of the Word of God into that dead body, it will come to life! The Prophet did just that and God kept his promise. God only speaks the truth and you have the confidence to know that His Word will come to pass.

 

Speak the Breath of God!

 

"Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.  So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army." (Ezekiel 37:9,10 KJV).

 

As you can see from the scripture, Ezekiel did exactly what the Lord said when He spoke and the winds obeyed. We also see that happening in the New Testament when Jesus spoke to the winds during the boat ride of a raging sea and they immediately obeyed. (Mark 4:39 KJV).

 

Now you may be saying this is all fine and easy for you to say since we have examples from a Prophet of the Bible and Jesus Christ who was and is God and our Savior, but how can I do such a thing? Because God commanded you and I to do greater works than that! Wow! "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. v 13) And whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. v 14) If ye shall ask any thing in My name, I will do it." (John 14:12-14, KJV).

 

When you do as God commanded, you have all authority to decree your dead situation changed into a living, transformed miracle set right before you and so many others as a witness of the wonders of almighty God! Yes, you and I are expected to speak to the four winds and decree breath into our dead situations and see God move on our behalf and absolutely be an agent of the miracle of God before your eyes! That is powerful artillery against the enemy! And guess what, you are creating an army for the Lord just as Ezekiel did for the future of Israel. We must decree into things that are not, as though they already are complete!

 

Remember, there were many steps into this transformation. You may not see it the first time you speak, but if you keep on your faithful obedience and never give up, you will see your miracle come to life before your very eyes! Just persevere with your bold declarations in the name of Jesus Christ no matter the looks of the atmosphere around you! Of, course we do not have time to get into the next question many ask, "Why is my miracle not happening as you just said?"  Well, it must be the will of God and not our selfish desires. The greatest spiritual litmus test is relationship with the Father. Next, it is how much time you spend regularly before the Lord in prayer, fasting and meditation of His word.

 

Is it a quick fix you want in a tight spot or is it the will of God to transform dead lives into living armies for the growth of the Kingdom of God? Yes, motives are extremely important. What is in the heart determines what we say!

 

PRESS FORWARD NOW!

 

"I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:14 (KJV)

 

Just do what He asks us to do and press into Him more than you ever have to go further than you've ever gone in your walk of destiny with God. "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:10. 

 

Remember you are His special creation created by His breath of life to do good works that He himself had before ordained for you to do!

 

Now you must boldly decree God's Word-prophesy- into your situation and see it turnaround for God's glory! It is almost the halfway mark in our year of 2010. Now is the time! You must prophesy your breakthrough!
