Those of you who know me, know that the Holy Spirit sometimes speaks to me through extremely vivid dreams. This morning when I woke up I knew that I had several dreams but I couldn't recall the details. After a few minutes I walked into the kitchen and as I looked at my clock the Holy Spirit instantly brought back to my remembrance an amazing dream that I had. I knew without a doubt that this dream was a word from God. In the dream I was looking at a clock on a wall. It was a fairly large clock, round, and approximately 12' in diameter. As I was watching it the hands began to rotate on their own.
There is a story in the bible about a great man of faith named Abraham. Abraham and his wife Sarah left their families and even their country trusting the Lord at His word to bless them and make them a great nation. In Genesis chapter seventeen the Lord appeared to him when he was ninety-nine years old and told him that his wife Sarah was going to have a baby boy the following year. She would be ninety and he would be one hundred years old. Abraham fell on his face and laughed. Although he was a man of faith, this sounded ridiculous to him.
There is a story in the book of Numbers when the Lord told Moses to send twelve men, one from each of the twelve tribes of Israel to spy out the land of Canaan, which is also known as the Promised Land. As I read about the giants in the land and thought about all my friends and ministers who are going through intense spiritual warfare, the Holy Spirit said: "It comes with the territory." Then He said, "Go and take possession because I have made you well able to overcome."
The Holy Spirit showed me a massive stadium filled with people. When the speaker came out, the crowd rose to their feet with a thunderous applause. I could not see who the speaker was, neither could I see what gender they were, but then I heard them announce, "Please take your seat." I then recognized that this was Jesus Himself making an announcement to the body of Christ. The Lord says, it is time to take the seat that I have assigned to you.
Many of you have been experiencing intense spiritual warfare the past few weeks and some have even said, "It is like an ambush against me." There has been an assignment from the kingdom of darkness to steal, kill and destroy your destiny but the Lord says: "Never give up and never quit." You have been created in His image and He has given you His authority. The things that you are battling now will soon become your history and you will bring forth a mighty testimony.
We are living in a time when darkness seems to be prevailing around the world, but God still has a plan for your life. You have been created in His image and He will never break His Covenant with you. He is raising up a remnant who will be leaders to the lost and strength to the weary. The Lord says, I have designed you not only to survive, but to thrive in the environment in which you have been created. You have been strategically placed where you are, and have been uniquely designed for My specific plan for your life.
A well-known prophet once said, "When you realize who you are in Christ, you will realize that you are behaving below your nature and living short of your potential." In the book of Genesis God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."
The book of John has some of the most extraordinary words that Jesus has ever spoken. In John chapter fourteen, Jesus was comforting His disciples before His departure to the father. He told them that He would not leave them alone, but He would send the Holy Spirit to be with them. They didn't comprehend what He was saying, because they did not yet understand His resurrection. They asked Him to show them the way to the father and Jesus replied, "I am the way and the truth and the life.
One day the Lord gave me this word after taking notice of several signs throughout the day. One sign said: "Warning, Contents Under Pressure." As I looked closer it also said "Highly Flammable." Later on in the day I had seen several other signs which said "Shock Hazard" and another said "High Voltage." These signs caught my attention as the Holy Spirit gave me this word. There are so many people who are living under extreme pressure due to challenging situations that they are facing. For some of you the pressures in your lives are overwhelming. Jesus has a good plan for you no matter how things appear in the natural.
One night as I was at a church conference the Lord brought my attention to the worshipers. Many of them were dancing with abandon, rejoicing exuberantly and others were worshiping passionately with multicolored flags. They were all continuously moving as they glorified Jesus under an extraordinary anointing. As I observed them, the Lord showed me a picture of a shooting gallery with moving targets. The faster the targets moved, the more challenging it was for the shooter to hit them. The Holy Spirit said, "A moving target is more difficult to aim at than a sitting duck."
