There is such power in the words we speak.  Through our words we open doors and close doors. Have you ever been in a situation where you are thinking in conversation, "Should I say this or not?" Then you decided to say it later realizing it might have been better to stay away from that particular subject? Words are much like keys that open doors to different rooms. Some rooms you would love to step into and other you might not.
I've been dealing a lot with breakthrough, spiritual clogs and the waters of God's Presence lately.  It just seems to be the subject the Lord keeps hitting on.  In a previous article, "Breakthrough: The Outburst of His Waters" we talked about how God uses fasting to bring us to a place of breakthrough, awakening and sensitivity to His Spirit. Then another article last week about "Portals, Breakthrough and Sounds of Refreshing."  God wants His people free to live in His Presence.  Did you know that He is jealous for us?  He does not want any other gods in our lives, but that He would be our infatuation and desire.  Here is another article dealing with spiritual clogs and the ways God has given us to walk in the fullness of His Presence.
The wind of the Holy Spirit is always blowing, but there needs to be something for that wind to "blow into". God looks for us to put up our sails that His wind might blow into our sails to take us where He wants us. When we step out in new ways it is like putting up our sails for the winds of His Presence. It takes some effort on our part to find out just how to put up those sails. In our times with God the light of revelation gives us guidance on just what to do. God inspires us to do things that His wind might find something to blow upon. Sometimes it may seem like we are putting up our sails but the wind is not blowing. Persistence is necessary to find His wind, discovering what works and where the wind is blowing.
"Resistance is only the evidence of your effectiveness and threat to invading and taking the enemy's territory. Don't stop, keep moving and take it all!" It is almost hard to grasp that the enemy works as hard against us as he does. The reality is, according to the Word of God, the enemy is constantly accusing "believers" who are intentionally taking ground from him.  This means that he is always trying to pull us down below where God has called us.  When we rise up in the call of God we will be "uncommon vessels" that threaten his territory.  He tries to weary the saints.
The breath of God brings us back to life. It is refreshing. There is something about the spontaneous aspect of prophetic worship that every believer needs. To read something or sing something that is "God-breathed" has eternal impact. When our writing and sound has it's origins out of heaven then it will bring transformation in the earth. Earthly sound will only take things on the downward spiral, but heaven's sound elevates the heart heavenward.
Psalm 91 is and has been one of my favorite chapters in the Bible for as long as I can remember. There is so much promise wrapped up in this single chapter of the Bible. This has without a doubt been a key contributing verse that instilled in me the central value of dwelling in the Presence of God. "He who dwells in the Secret Place of the Most High shall abide in the shadow of the Almighty…" It then goes on to list all the associated benefits that come for those who choose to dwell in the secret place of His Presence.
