For if by
the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who
receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life
through the One, Jesus Christ.Romans
5:17
You cannot merit God's blessings
through your good works. All His blessings, including the blessings of health,
provision and success, are wrapped up in the person of Jesus! When you have
Jesus, you have the gift of righteousness and the abundance of grace completely
by His unmerited favor. You cannot earn them, work for them or deserve them.
They are gifts!
Jesus is your righteousness,
holiness and redemption. You are righteous, holy and redeemed (and blessed) not
because of your good works, but because you have received God's provision of
His Son.
You will Always Have Him
And because Jesus can never fail
or be removed from the throne, you will always have Him as your righteousness,
holiness and redemption! I encourage you to meditate on this powerful truth
today. It will lift you out of the realm of doubt and fear and put you in the
realm of faith and hope. It will cause you to reign over your circumstances.
Now, put your hand on your heart
and say this: "Jesus, because I have You, I will always be righteous by Your
precious blood. All the blessings, provision, favor and success that belong to
the righteous are mine today and I receive them by faith! Amen and Amen!"
To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27 Beloved, the more you grow in your revelation and valuation of how Jesus' finished work has placed you in Him—in the secret place where you are safe, protected, and secure—the more you'll find your heart at rest instead of filled with worry and fears.
For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you up with their hands, so you won't even hurt your foot on a stone. Psalm 91:11-12 NLT If you look carefully at the Scriptures that Satan used to try to get our Lord Jesus to throw Himself down from the pinnacle of the temple, you will find that it has nothing to do with endangering yourself to test God's protection. Psalm 91:11–12 is not encouraging you to throw yourself in harm's way. It is saying that as you go about the course of your daily life, "in all your ways" the Lord will protect you. The Hebrew word for "ways" in verse 11 shows this clearly—it is the word derek, which means path, road, or journey.
Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen. Romans 15:33 I'm sure you want the Lord to manifest Himself as the God of peace when you are fearful. So let's go deeper into what the "God of peace" means. Don't forget that Paul was Jewish, so when he said, "the God of peace be with you," he was saying "Jehovah Shalom be with you." "Jehovah Shalom" is Hebrew for "the God of peace." Now, the first appearance of the name Jehovah Shalom is in the Old Testament story of Gideon in Judges 6.
