One of the biggest shifts we all need to make is realizing that God never places us somewhere by accident.
Every assignment in your life—your work, your business, your family, your ministry, even the relationships He's entrusted to you—is there for a reason. You're not just there to succeed, survive, or make it through. You're there because God intends to accomplish something through you.
I think we often underestimate what an assignment really is. We see a job. God sees a place where His Kingdom can advance. We see a difficult relationship. God sees an opportunity to bring healing. We see a business decision. God sees an opportunity to establish wisdom, integrity, and blessing.
That's a very different perspective.
From the beginning, God's plan has always been to work through people. He created us in His image, empowered us by His Spirit, and entrusted us with the responsibility of bringing His rule into the places where He sends us. In other words, wherever God places you, He intends for Heaven to touch earth through your life.
The encouraging part is that He never gives an assignment without also giving you what you need to fulfill it.
He's given you unique gifts that someone else doesn't have. He's developing your character, increasing your wisdom, and maturing your spiritual authority. None of that is just for your benefit. It's preparation. Every lesson, every challenge, and every victory is increasing your capacity to carry more of His purpose into the assignments He's entrusted to you.
I've found that we spend a lot of time asking God to fix situations, while He is often asking us to become His answer within them.
Maybe that's what it means to become His governing presence.
Not controlling people. Not having all the answers. But carrying His heart so consistently that the places He's entrusted to you become healthier, stronger, more fruitful, and more aligned with His purposes because you were there.
When you begin looking at your life this way, ordinary assignments become extraordinary opportunities. Your workplace becomes a mission field. Your business becomes a platform for blessing. Your family becomes a place where generations can be transformed. Your leadership becomes an opportunity to establish God's ways in practical, tangible ways.
So, here's something I've been thinking about, and I'd encourage you to think about it as well.
Look across the assignments God has entrusted to you. Where is something still out of order?
Where is there a lack of blessing, peace, fruitfulness, or freedom?
Don't just see the problem.
Recognize it may be God's invitation for you to become His solution.
