God is not cheap but rather expensive. We are expensive as well as it cost Him the life of His Son Jesus. Although our salvation is a "free gift" there is a price to following Jesus. After all, Jesus told us that anyone who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is not fit for the kingdom. Luke 9:62 "But Jesus said to him, "No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God." What do we have here? What we see is the difference between being saved and being a disciple.

God is not cheap but rather expensive. We are expensive as well as it cost Him the life of His Son Jesus. Although our salvation is a "free gift" there is a price to following Jesus. After all, Jesus told us that anyone who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is not fit for the kingdom.
Luke 9:62 "But Jesus said to him, "No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God."
What do we have here? What we see is the difference between being saved and being a disciple. I've also heard it said, "If Jesus isn't Lord of all then He isn't Lord at all." With that it is safe to say and better said that discipleship as a believer is not an option but a requirement. Therefore there is a price we all must pay to follow Jesus.
When you hear God will also have the opportunity to obey Him. As we are learning to follow God we must also realize that it is not all peaches and cream. The good news is that as you hear His voice there is innate power within His words to empower you to do what He asks. He has also given us of His Spirit.
John 14:15-16 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever."
God has fresh eternal waters for us to drink of every moment. These waters of the life of His Spirit are needed and cannot be neglected for they are what sustains us in the more difficult times.

Have you ever struggled to live for God? To be a living sacrifice? Even to just do the things that please Him? Typically, the issue lies in the focus and "the means" of how that is to happen. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. Romans 12:1 It is through tending to our relationship with God, our communion with the Spirit and focus on the Lord that we are transformed and able to live after His desires. It's all about the relationship.

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not be put out. And the priest shall burn wood on it every morning and lay the burnt offering in order on it; and he shall burn on it the fat of the peace offerings. A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out. Leviticus 6:12-13 Recently I had a dream encounter where the Lord spoke to me that there is a greater need for more "fire on the altar." In this it was apparent that there was a need for prayer to permeate and infiltrate the atmosphere of the region. I could literally sense that the atmosphere was not what it needed to be - more prayer was needed.
