There is a natural order for all
things that God made and intended since the beginning of time. However, that
natural order is greatly affected and disturbed in many ways. There are
biblical principles in regard to health and wellness that were set in place
long before you and I ever existed. From the moment that God placed man and
woman in the Garden of Eden to manage and maintain it's resources, they began
to fail with such a great responsibility. The first two created humans were
banned from what seemed to be perfect surroundings. They allowed temptation to
come and were deceived by Satan, who used the very thing God had created for
food (fruit). God also tested their obedience to Him with the same fruit. This
is certainly not the exclusive on the story, and the issue of health is not
even brought to light in the beginning.
However, I do believe it raises concerns about man's judgments regarding the person as a whole. I further believe that mankind was not even concerned about what he or she ate for centuries in regards to health. People and animals actually ate and drank from what God provided through the earth's resources. Then, mankind began tampering with what God had ordained as clean and all natural whole foods. Mankind's ways were introduced, and accepted by the world, above what the Creator's intentions and instructions included. God's plan was to have a people who would live long and prosper in optimal health. However, we have veered far from the Ancient paths of our Creator. Is it possible to find our way back to the Garden?
