I was
praying about doing a Christmas theme, and these two houses stood out to me to
paint in a Christmas setting. After painting part of the houses, I was asking
the Lord to give me something about Him in this painting. Upon receiving
communion, I was deeply impressed by the Holy Spirit to have Jesus walking up
the street with angels blowing shofars. After a lady prayed with me, I knew I
was to put the Lion and the Lamb in the painting, as well as the Alpha and the
Omega, for Jesus first came as a baby in the manger as the Lamb of God Who takes
away the sins of the world, but He is coming back as the Lion of Judah. In the
upper right hand corner you will see the hand of God coming down, for He is
saying, "It is time for My visitation.” Jesus wants to visit you and I more
than we can possible imagine. In the painting, there are also 6 angels sounding
shofars and the people are looking up, for the Bible says: "Look up, for your
redemption draws nigh.” Jesus is the reason for the season. The greatest gift
we can receive is God’s Son, Jesus.
My Mission and the Mike DeLorenzo Art Gallery is to inspire and to share the revelational aspect of art in God's coming Kingdom.
I am inspired to paint this art which gives insight into the heart and mind of our Lord and Savior.
