The meaning behind this painting is that the Lord has spoken to us as a ministry to pray the pathways of the nations. On the fence post is the Scripture verse, Jeremiah 6:16: Thus says the Lord: "Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls.” There is also a wagon wheel against the fence speaking of the ancient pathways. Jesus is the person walking on the pathway on the left-hand side, leading the way.
In the sky, hidden in the upper right, is the Ark of the Covenant, speaking of the glory of God that will follow, as we carry out the prayer assignments that God gives. There is also a cross on the bridge. A skull showed up on the mountain, sort of looking like Golgotha. I was going to paint it out, but I felt impressed by the Lord to leave it, because it says in Ezekiel 37 to prophesy to the dead men’s bones. The Lord has spoken to us about bringing life to the pathways, and part of this is believing God to raise up the dead churches as we go, to bring life to the Body of Christ.
My Mission and the Mike DeLorenzo Art Gallery is to inspire and to share the revelational aspect of art in God's coming Kingdom.
I am inspired to paint this art which gives insight into the heart and mind of our Lord and Savior.
