"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28 KJV)
Everything has always worked together for the good of those who love God. You've heard it many times before, I'm sure. However, what does it truly mean and what are we as believers to make of the concept of "togetherness?" My newest book Synchronicities: God's Universal Tools is now available internationally and the response has already been overwhelming as some have expressed that this is the book they've been waiting for. To my knowledge, never before has there been a book of its kind, which not only analyzes the many signs, patterns, and synchronicities within Creation but also shares insight into the reason synchronicities exist to begin with. Are there truly coincidences within Creation? Are there truly moments of random chance? Well, according to the Bible the answer is "No." There has always been a very divine, very heavenly, somewhat otherworldly force in existence around us – the phone ringing at just the right time, the song coming on the radio just when you were thinking of it, and the seemingly random text arriving from the friend you were just thinking about. Is it all just coincidental, as some suggest, or is there some greater meaning?
When the Apostle Paul in his epistle to the early church spoke of all things working together, he could have just as easily left out the word "together" and said, simply, "Everything is working for our good. But he didn't. By stating that all things are not only working but, in fact, are working together, could it have been that Paul was speaking in some way of the mystery of synchronicity even in his time? Synchronicity has been defined by some as "meaningful coincidences." It's those many unexplainable moments that always seem to follow us around. But, I would suggest, if there truly is "meaning" behind the moments, then can those moments even be considered "coincidental?" Certainly not. You see, to the natural, religious mind, with its filters or limitation, the many miraculous and otherworldly moments of synchronistic alignment will always look like coincidence and nothing more. The natural, religious mind will see these moments and say, simply, "Well, that was just my imagination." The natural mind, as you well know, cannot know the things of the Spirit. But when the mind becomes renewed and when the eyes of understanding become enlightened, as Paul states, we become able to see the world in a much more heavenly way as the blinders are removed. And when the blinders are removed, we begin to see that Heaven has always existed right here in our midst.
Togetherness
There's a lot to be said about the Universal principle of "togetherness." "All things" truly means all things. That means, by definition, that there have never been any coincidences behind all of the many moments of your life. As I began to feel the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to write my newest book Synchyronicities: God's Universal Tools, I began to feel my faith rise as I realized that Heaven always desires to send us "messages" all throughout the day and even into the night as we dream. These many, many moments of messages – these moments of synchronistic alignment – are reminders to us of the power we've been given. Could it be that all of life around us serves to remind us not only of the "togetherness" of all things but that we have power according to our own thoughts and beliefs? Jesus taught that there would always be signs that would follow after belief, reminding us that our thoughts have power. Could those many synchronistic moments serve to remind us of the alignment of our own thoughts? Signs have always followed after belief.
As you will see when you read my newest book Synchronicities: God's Universal Tools, not only are there messages in every passing moment of life but the message is very clear: "Your thoughts are manifesting!" Today, my prayer for you is that you would allow your eyes to be opened to the realm of Heaven on Earth and that you would realize Heaven has never been far away. As the early church fathers declared, God always has many ways of drawing us to Himself. It's time to remove the word "coincidence" from your vocabulary once and for all. It's time to see that literally all of Creation has been working together to bring about a desired, intended result. You are a co-creator with God, and it's time you realized it. Your thoughts are your decrees within this earthly realm. It's truly no wonder the Scriptures remind us that what we think, we ultimately are. As a man thinks, so is he. And, just in case you seem to have forgotten, just as He is, so are we. Signs have not only followed after those who believe; signs follow after belief itself. What you see, you think; what you think, you will see.
