How do you combat fear? Do you try to fight it off? Do you just give in to it and hide? As you know, neither of these is effective. Trying to fight fear in your mind only seems to magnify the fear, because what you are FOCUSED on is the FEAR. Giving in to fear or anxiety and hiding from it sort of guarantees that this cycle will happen again and again. I have found that the most effective action in getting free from fear is to memorize and say out loud (even if it is a whisper in the night) Psalm 91 and Psalm 23.

If anyone had the opportunity to be bound by fear, it was Moses leading a million people in the wilderness with the danger of starvation, poisonous snakes, disease, and death. But he recounts his experience of God’s protection from every possible calamity in this psalm.
The key is “dwelling in the secret place of the Most High.” It is a place hidden from every enemy.
What enemy are you facing in your life right now? The enemy of poverty, financial lack, disease, family or marital strife? Workplace issues?
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. (Psalm 91:1 AMPC)
If you dwell in that secret place where no foe can access you, then as Moses you will say…
“You are my God.” “You are my refuge.” “You are my fortress.” “I trust in You.”
Say that out loud right now. Notice the calming effect?
After you have SAID this, placed yourself in safety of God, Moses tells what comes next:
“He will deliver me.” “He will cover me.” “I will not be afraid.”
By speaking the solution to fear and anxiety, you focus on the answer (safety and security in God) not the problem. Your body and your mind may try to fight you by releasing adrenaline, and feelings attempt to overwhelm you, but YOUR SPIRIT filled with Psalm 91 is more powerful than illusions of destruction. YOUR MOUTH filled with Psalm 91 releases a double anointing to drive fear far from you.

Even a lightness, even a lightness and a joy and a laughter begins to come forth in this house. A laughter, a laughter, a laughter. A joy and a lightness for the darkness has begun to be driven out. It has been absorbed by those who desire it. Yes, the darkness is being absorbed by those who desire darkness. There are some things about faith that we need to continually go over to keep them fresh. Just because we have heard it or known it doesn't necessarily mean we still remember it. It is good to go back and review some old truths from God's Word that have become old hat, so to speak. Sometimes we find that we have forgotten some important things that were fresh revelations years ago.

In order to activate God's power in our bodies and in our lives, we must speak our faith and act our faith. One of the biggest deceptions that the enemy has ever perpetrated upon the Body of Christ is, "If we believe in healing, we will be all right." It is not enough just to believe in healing. There are thousands of people who die every day who believe in healing! They believe in the miraculous healing power of God. But the enemy has caused them to substitute belief for action.
