I'm glad you opened this message but to be honest, no matter how hard we try not to, we will have moments when we stumble and fall short. What really matters is how we respond to it. When we lose our temper, succumb to temptation, or miss the mark… these moments, no matter how big or small, can build up and weigh on our hearts, and cause us to feel far away from our heavenly Shepherd and unloved.

I’m glad you opened this message but to be honest, no matter how hard we try not to, we will have moments when we stumble and fall short.
What really matters is how we respond to it.
When we lose our temper, succumb to temptation, or miss the mark… these moments, no matter how big or small, can build up and weigh on our hearts, and cause us to feel far away from our heavenly Shepherd and unloved.
And sometimes, it even makes us wonder…
- "Will God still listen to my prayers?"
- "I know the Lord forgives me but is He upset with me?"
- "Did that bad thing happen because I messed up?"
Perhaps you’ve had these thoughts for a while, or maybe you find yourself slowly losing sight of God’s heart for you, taking things into your own hands, and trusting in your own effort instead of His love for you…
Friend, look at this powerful statement that the Lord made in the new covenant: "For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more" (Heb. 8:12). This means that no matter what mess you find yourself in, the fact always remains that ALL your mistakes and sins—past, present, and future—have been forgiven at the cross!
And that's why, Beloved, even after you’ve made a mistake...
- The Lord will still embrace you with His mercy, love, and comfort.
- He can still work all things out for your good.
- His heart is still to bless you with many beautiful days of heaven on earth.
Let me be clear: This does not give us a license to sin. It’s quite the opposite (Rom. 6:14)! When we truly understand and lean on God’s grace, that’s when the real change happens. It ignites in our hearts a love and desire for the things of the Lord, transforms us from the inside out, and empowers us to overcome our sins and failures. It leads us to step into the abundant life He has for us—a life that honors Him (Rom. 6:17–18)!
I get it. Believing that you’re still righteous in Christ, especially right after you’ve messed up, can be the furthest thing on your mind. But that’s where faith comes in. You’re not trusting in your own performance but in the finished work of Jesus!

To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27 Beloved, the more you grow in your revelation and valuation of how Jesus' finished work has placed you in Him—in the secret place where you are safe, protected, and secure—the more you'll find your heart at rest instead of filled with worry and fears.

For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you up with their hands, so you won't even hurt your foot on a stone. Psalm 91:11-12 NLT If you look carefully at the Scriptures that Satan used to try to get our Lord Jesus to throw Himself down from the pinnacle of the temple, you will find that it has nothing to do with endangering yourself to test God's protection. Psalm 91:11–12 is not encouraging you to throw yourself in harm's way. It is saying that as you go about the course of your daily life, "in all your ways" the Lord will protect you. The Hebrew word for "ways" in verse 11 shows this clearly—it is the word derek, which means path, road, or journey.

Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen. Romans 15:33 I'm sure you want the Lord to manifest Himself as the God of peace when you are fearful. So let's go deeper into what the "God of peace" means. Don't forget that Paul was Jewish, so when he said, "the God of peace be with you," he was saying "Jehovah Shalom be with you." "Jehovah Shalom" is Hebrew for "the God of peace." Now, the first appearance of the name Jehovah Shalom is in the Old Testament story of Gideon in Judges 6.
