You have greatness inside of you! You have the power to see lives transformed and God glorified. Jesus told the disciples not to try to do anything for Him without first receiving the Holy Spirit. Being assembled with them, He commanded them, "Do not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, of which you have heard from Me. For John baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now." (Acts 1:4-5)

You have greatness inside of you! You have the power to see lives transformed and God glorified.
Jesus told the disciples not to try to do anything for Him without first receiving the Holy Spirit.
Being assembled with them, He commanded them, “Do not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, of which you have heard from Me. For John baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” (Acts 1:4-5)
You can give a homeless addict food to feed them for a day (which is important!) but you won’t see them set free from their addiction without the power of the Holy Spirit.
You must be baptized in the Holy Spirit – or fully immersed on every side. Operating without the Holy Spirit has no eternal value because works don’t transform lives.
Power with Purpose
You must have power before you can be a witness. Once you have power you are commanded to be a witness testifying of the reality of Jesus with miracles, signs, and wonders following.
God wants you empowered by the Holy Spirit to transform lives.
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. (Acts 1:8)
Part of being a witness is stepping out in faith to pray for others.
Do you want to see God use you to raise someone from the dead? I hope so! You must realize if you don’t ever pray for a dead person – you will never see any raised.
Encountering the Holy Spirit
Focus on having an encounter with God. It is easy to get distracted by what God hasn’t done or trying to fulfill every prophetic word you have received overnight – you just need one encounter with God.
When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like a mighty rushing wind came from heaven, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. There appeared to them tongues as of fire, being distributed and resting on each of them, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to speak. (Acts 2:1-4)
When you are baptized in the Holy Spirit your spiritual senses open in a new way. You can hear Heaven, you can see in the spirit, you can speak in new tongues.
In the western church we have often limited the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to the ability to do good works while removing His power.
True encounters with God bring transformation.
Commit to seeking God for a fresh immersion in the Holy Spirit until you encounter Him in a transformational way.

You must be ready and alert — spiritually awake, to know what God is doing. Only through a heart connected to God in worship and prayer will your lamp be burning. Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning. Luke 12:35 In this passage, it is important to embrace "being girded" as it means being ready to serve. As we read on, we see Jesus says that "the Master" responds as He will "gird Himself to serve" those who are found doing these things. Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching.

Have you ever felt like your soul just needed a good washing? How many times I've felt that way. If you've ever felt this way, don't think it is unusual. We are in this world but not of it. Sometimes there are things that, if we are not discerning, we open the door to. It pays to seek the Lord at all times and ask the question… Why am I not experiencing God's presence right now? When you know it is His will for you to live in that place and also know that Jesus is your greatest example — as He lived in the absolute reality of God's presence continually.
