“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” Isaiah 43:19
We are standing at the threshold of historic change—both for the world and for God’s people. God is redefining everything in our time. He declares, “I am doing a new thing. “The word new means that something has never been done before. God then confronts with the challenge: “Do you not perceive it?”
A significant struggle many may have is with the ability to perceive the new thing God is bringing forth. The natural mind processes information based on data stored from the past and current experiences. Even prophetic people may perceive within the framework of what is already known.
But when God asks us to perceive revelation that is coming from eternity into time, it requires a mind renewed by Christ (Romans 12:2). This is the mind that will become the new wineskin capable of holding the new wine of revelation and Glory God has prepared for the hour. Without a transformed mind, many will say, “Yes, Lord, we embrace your new thing,” yet continue to process from old mindsets and walk as they did before.
Understanding God’s new revelation is like trying to understand water if you live on Mars—without a point of reference. Similarly, what God is preparing for the challenges of the end times exceeds our current paradigms, requiring a divine shift in how we think, perceive, and act. God is constructing a divine structure to contain His work for the end times, which man has not yet perceived.
Perceiving truth coming from Jesus through the Holy Spirit, from eternity to our time, requires hearts that perceive and minds that can receive and process the revelation. To achieve this, His people must have walked through the essentials of preparation.
-
Becoming a Prepared Ground: possessing humility forged by fire, breaking pride that blinds perception.
-
Becoming a New Vessel: having a renewed spiritual mind capable of understanding the mind of Christ, shaped to comprehend, hold, and steward Heavenly Revelation.
-
Possessing the Fortitude to Implement: having been given divine strategy, embracing the resolve to act and apply the revelation in obedience.
Mobilizing an Army
Over the past few decades, God has been preparing a people to become a New Wineskin to carry His New Thing, which is about to break forth on the earth. Tests and trials have worked to crush the attitude of pride that blocks perception—the belief that it already possesses the complete revelation.
This is a notable season that will bring about massive change, working to prepare the way for the coming of Lord Sabaoth, Commander of the Lord’s armies. Unbridled demonic resistance will be the result of this. Lest we attempt to fulfill His plans in our own strength, God tends to give only what is needed in the moment. This army knows how to wait, how to follow orders, and how to move at His word.
Thinking From the Eternal
To be one who perceives is to live as Christ lived, dwelling on earth while accessing the realms of Heaven. “No one has ascended into heaven except He who descended from heaven—the Son of Man who is in heaven” (John 3:13). Jesus modelled a life rooted in the eternal while walking in the temporal. Likewise, we must train our minds to live from the infinite dimensions of Christ, as pilgrims on earth whose citizenship is Heaven (Philippians 3:20).
When we learn to perceive from the eternal, we apprehend the God of the impossible, in whom every possibility exists. Our minds are stretched to see and believe in the vastness of a surpassing God—the Creator of the universe, the One who calls stars by their names. Nothing is unattainable to the saints as we live and move and have our being in this God—the God in whom all things are possible.”
Having beliefs that are limited with little expectation produces limited results. God is now raising up a people who will believe for the impossible, who will do great and miraculous things in this hour. Just as God led Israel out of Egypt with great signs and wonders, He has promised to do it again. He will now be leading His people out of captivity to the Babylonian world system, into the fullness of the Promised Land of Christ, the Kingdom reign of the Almighty.
“As in the days when you came out of the land of Egypt, I will show them wonders…They shall be afraid of the LORD our God, and shall fear because of You.” Micah 7:15
God’s new thing is springing forth! Do you not perceive it? With renewed minds and yielded hearts, we will not only perceive but will rise to partner with God for its manifestation. This is the hour to press in, to apprehend like Paul, that for which God has apprehended us (Php 3:12).
